Those beautiful moments infused with inspired alignment are ones I cherish.
I just experienced one of them……
Sitting by the fire on this rainy Sunday morning, with my loving husband drifting into a relaxed nap, I am deep in appreciative contemplation. I, like so many today, am pondering the momentous experience of participating in the historic Women’s March.
As an incredible flood of moments fill my heart and images around the world fill my mind, these words sang out across our “Home.” They came from the stereo of the young woman who is my daughter. With passion and pure spirit, I heard her clear voice singing along while in the shower. Precious chills and a knowing thankfulness move through me…..
We, my family and so many in our circles of connection, are home…. in our hearts and in a unity of spirit. We know we’re not alone. My faith in so much possibility and in humanity is pulsing today.
This morning, witnessing the outpouring of love in action and expression around the world…. I sing this too:
I awoke this morning to the soothing sounds of rain cascading down upon our Mojave Desert. My morning self Reiki beneath the covers was especially deep, soothing and warm. Puppies nuzzled my face and we all emerged to greet this day of 1-11-15.
In Angel Number meanings, 1-1-1 has great significance. It is a message and a time to be especially attentive to our thoughts and feelings. We are encouraged to focus upon what it is that we truly want and desire to create in our lives and in the world. This morning feels like a perfect time for that deep soulful attention, reflection and creation.
I’m in the midst and mist of a serene, deeply inward morning on this calm, cleansing and rare rainy day here in our Mojave Desert. The rain drops are dancing on the top of the pool water, cascading from the roof and creating a beautiful symphony of soothing flowing music.
Loving life this morning and feeling at peace. It’s a blessed experience for this 1-11-15 day. Yes, peace IS more of what I wish to create within myself and within our world. As we each take responsibility for creating our own inner peace, the outer world responds and transforms in kind. I truly believe that.
So this morning and today, I will look upon these sweetly inspiring images that are meaningful to me and lovingly, intentionally focus upon what I wish to create. Like the steps in my home and backyard, I’ll remind myself to take one step and one breath at a time. There’s no rush, no need to over do….simply to BE and to follow the guidance of my own inner compass. Now is the only time I have. Everything in life has led me to this moment, and this moment will be the foundation of everything that is yet to come. I’ll sink deeply into “this moment” with PRESENCE marrying both my Being and Doing from this.
Blessings for peaceful moments to each of you and all~ways, always…. So Much Love. D*
I am so very grateful to have some kind, capable people here at our home helping to care for our landscaping today and tomorrow. We are do-it-yourselfers here usually (though we simultaneously are always fostering community in our home and our lives…)
I am now recognizing those moments when our self-care and contribution includes employing others to help with tasks that would take us a very long laborious time to complete. It’s actually another form of fostering community. It allows us to engage in other areas of our lives while receiving help and contributing to someone else’s abundance. As two eldest children, we’ve been accustomed to hard work, dedication and doing things ourselves – from building this home to landscaping the acre and on…..and on…
Today, I am appreciating RECEIVING help and KNOWING that while my husband enjoys a day in nature (which he dearly loves) neither he nor I are having to prune, lift, dig, fix irrigation lines, uproot or haul. We’re not being lazy. We’re actually contributing. I’m not sure I’d completely thought of it that way before this moment.
APPRECIATING that perspective and feeling deeply thankful for all the ways we humans give and receive…..
These were my thoughts after watching the Presidential Special News Report 11/14/13.
I appreciate a United States President who extends prayers for those under intense struggle across the world. I value a Commander and Chief who takes responsibility, admits mistakes, expresses humility, offers apologies, admits frustration, encourages dialogue, and works tirelessly despite constant challenges (and the obvious impact on him) and much more… I appreciate the magnitude of what that job entails and the toll it must take on a conscientious person.
I am not a political person. I am not opening up my page to critical commentary of any kind here.
I DO want my friends, no matter your political affiliation, to remember and recognize the immensity of the job a president undertakes. I live with a man who presided as union president and did it to the best of his abilities, tirelessly, collaboratively and conscientiously. I slept alongside him as he tossed and turned some nights. I witnessed that no matter how well he did his job there would always be someone who wasn’t happy about something. It is the nature of being in high leadership. You are never going to please everybody. The level of responsibility and pressure is extremely intense, especially for a genuine leader who is there for the sake of service to others and not for the power or prestige.
I would like us all to simply appreciate what a president must endure in his/her job and give that person the respect that they are due. For generations, the United States presidency was treated with respect and so was whomever presided there.
There was a time we abided more by the Golden Rule. It is my wish that we, as a country, truly live by that value once again.
Let us live by Gandhi‘s creed. May we, “Be the change we wish to see in the world.”
